Course Aim

The aim of this Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training qualification is to develop a learners existing knowledge and skills to a professional level in gym instruction, allowing them to become a certified Personal Trainer.

Career Progression

This qualification opens the door to specialisms such as :

Exercise Medical Referral, Pre and post Natal Exercise, Designing Programmes for Older Adults, Designing Exercise Programmes for Disabled Clients, Strength and Conditioning.

Programme Delivery

Part time over 16 weeks. 

e learning : The programme will be provided using a Blended Learning Approach.

Participants complete our on-line component in Personal Training which they can do at their own pace. They will receive access to on-line course materials via our elearning platform, and the relevant sections will have all necessary materials and a Quiz to be completed at the end. This element twill be completed alongside face to face theory and practical skills sessions. Upon completion of the on-line component they will be able to print off a Personal Training Certificate of Completion. All material is self-directed with on-line tutor support. All lectures have audio voice overs to enhance the learning process, backed up by video and additional learning resources.

During the Practical Skills Days the information learned during the on-line element will be applied in the practical setting.

Assessment Process :

This programme is assessed in three ways :

Theory Examination

MCQ assessment Completed on-line.

A minimum Pass Mark of 60% must be achieved in order to Pass this component.

Learner Assessment Portfolio

This consists of a collection of worksheets incorporating the application of theory to practice.

 

Skills Assessment

This will consist of a demonstration of practical skills based on the learning outcomes.

A minimum Pass Mark of 60% overall must be achieved in order to Pass this component.

Certification :

This programme combines Gym Instruction and Personal Training rolled in to one.

On successful completion of the programme successful candidates will be awarded a Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing and a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. This is an Industry Standard Certification recognised at Levels 3 & 4 respectively across the European Framework of Qualifications (EQF) and REPS UK Levels 3 & 4.
