Covid-19 Awareness Training
This course will give learners the necessary knowledge to ensure that they are COVID compliant in their place of work or training.
Ideally candidates should be:
“Understand the basic terminology in terms of Infection Prevention & Control, and how this applies into the workplace setting. Explain the modes of transmission of COVID-19, and what we can do to minimise the spread of infection. Examine standard precautions which can be put in place to ensure best practice in the workplace. Discuss the importance of Standard Precautions for infection prevention and control in the hospitality area, and their role in providing a healthy environment for customers and staff. Differentiate between social hand hygiene, antiseptic hand hygiene and surgical hand hygiene to include the correct use of alcohol hand gels and the need for good personal skin care and efficient hand washing.
Investigate the terms cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation to include cleaning standards, procedures and frequencies while paying special attention to decontamination of surfaces and equipment. Implement the knowledge learned into your specific workplace setting. Apply the site specific checklist to ensure as safe as possible an environment, for staff and customers.”
